The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), under the U.S. Department of Transportation, sets and enforces safety performance standards for motor vehicles and investigates safety defects. NHTSA also conducts research on driver behavior and traffic safety.

  Knowing the details of your family's health information can come in handy in the event of an emergency. On this page, click on the top right link and download a printable booklet: Family Health and Medical Record (PDF). It's an 18-page form to fill in all the necessary information. Make copies: keep one at work, at school, and a few at home. Print out extra copies of pages 7-12 if you have more than one child. Update the information regularly. The Texas Cooperative Extension is an educational organization provided by the U.S. government, the state government through Texas A&M University, and the county government.

The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety is a nonprofit research and communications organization funded by auto insurers. For over 30 years the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety has been a leader in finding out what works and doesn't work to prevent motor vehicle crashes in the first place and reduce injuries in the crashes that still occur.
